Alot of people thought Floyd had had it tonight. They massively over rated Alvarez.
To be honest, i think Floyd could have schooled Cotto in much the same way as he schooled Canelo. He just fought the fight differently. He opened up more. He was more cautious against Canelo because of his size, and as a result, got hit much less and won widely. I think he has the capabilities to basically do that to anyone in the sport.

Cotto pressed more, jabbed more, and showed more movement. It was obvious that his corner (Pedro Diaz) had prepared the right gameplan.... and Cotto followed it to the best of his ability. But Floyd is Floyd.... nothing more need be said. Having said that, Cotto bloodied his nose, and Floyd knew he'd been in a fight. Last night there was nothing of the sort. Floyd schooled Canelo to such an extent, it was comical to hear him after the fight giving his "public relations speech" about Canelo being a great champion, while very likely laughing inside at the great con job they had all just pulled off.

Even Guerrero, who was totally outclassed, turned in a more respectable showing against Floyd than Canelo did. That's where the bloated 40+ some undefeated record gets exposed for all to see.

All in all it was a boring, predictable fight. Well.... that's being too harsh on Floyd.
He did turn in his usual masterpiece of boxing.
