I don't get all this anti-Manny backlash. "The ship has sailed".... "he didn't want it back when it would've meant something".... "he's damaged goods".

    SO?

Who the hell is out there that will give Floyd a competitive fight? Are we to throw another hype job at him? C'mon.... really? I say if Manny beats Rios convincingly, there's not a hell of a lot of other options out there.

But how competitive would the fight be judging from Pacquio's recent fights that he's not at his peak?

Wasn't Manny robbed in the Bradley fight? Also wasn't he beating Marquez before he got dropped?

He hasn't lost much of a step to me... if I fought Mike Tyson 4 times in a row, I would win one if I were a professional fighter. Marquez won on the averages.

I'm not saying Pacquaio would necessarily win. I'm just saying it would probably definitely be more competitive than the whitewash we saw Saturday night. And Pacquiao has the career credentials to be in there with Floyd. Who else is there? People are grasping at straws with Martinez, but the truth of the matter is there's not much out there. At this point, Pac is as good as, or better, than any other opponent.

Yeah your definately right in saying his credentials are up there and any hope of Floyd fighting a middle weight shows the state of the fighters in his own division. But I think we should wait to see what sort of Pacquio is going to show up in November to see how competitive he could be against Floyd.

For the sake of drumming up some real, deserved excitement for a Floyd fight..... I'm hoping Manny beats Rios convincingly and they finally make the fight. I don't care if it's a couple of years late. I think it should still be made.

Really ? 30 odd posts since the fight ended and you are still going on about Canelo not deserving the right to fight a guy who is running out of credible opponents ? It has happened, the ship has sailed, let go of the hate it is consuming you and shrinking your credibility.

Floyd should fight Manny, but he won't, because he and Emmanue Dapidran Pacquiao are both big babies and Arum is a dickhead.

And that's really where it is. Manny would give a very competitive fight... Arum should die, now.
