Rodriguez and Vera are both journeymen. Only difference Vera is a journeyman who actually goes out there and fights. Looking to win. He gives 100% all the time. Rodriguez doesn't do that. He's happy to just be there. Go through the motions. And get paid. He was never there to win.

this from the guy who was saying Rodriguez had a chance to win, get the fuck out of here with your bullshit, Rodriguez also went the distance against Trout, and if we're playing that game both Kirkland and Codrington stopped Vera, both being MUCH SMALLER than Jr, and well Jr couldn't even clearly beat the journeyman

and Vera giving it his all doesn't change the fact that he was in there against a guy younger than him with more experience and outweighed by about 20 lbs, and still managed to beat the living snot out of the punk lol

You do realize Jesse Felicano actually did knock out Delvin Rodriguez, right? He just stated a fact and you get all offended. Hilarious. Proving the fact that if someone ain't sucking Cotto's dick than there just insulting him. So lust you have for a fighter who isn't even Filipino.

After we're done ruining THIS thread, I say we make another one in "Let's Get it On", and go to town.

    What say, guys?

Shut the fuck up bitch. Stop wasting time. Get on with the Rodriguez was a real good fighter nonsense who fought his heart out and went out on his shield.

Taking shots on your tonsils from Canelo's and Junior's members is beginning to affect your eyesight.
Tell where you saw me say that Delvin was competitive.

    I'll wait.

Cotto is one of the very best fighters we have seen over the past decade and a bit. Nice to see a fighter's fighter doing his work.

Does Cotto go for canelo at 154? Or move up to 160 and challenge Martinez?

*U don't know what ur talking about, ..Rodriquez is a dangerous fighter, with skill... he's more of a gatekeeper than Journeyman, but make no bones about it, Rodriquez CAN fight. For Cotto to come in and beat a B fighter in Rodriquez is a serious statement. Rodriquez has been in withsome some serious comp as of late and had dedicated himself . ... it's a nice job by Cotto. i'd like to see Cotto do this again before I put him in with the best fighters, but early consensus is..HE'S BACK.

p.s U can say whatever, under Diaz lately, Cotto looked like a shot fighter...

Cotto is one of my favorite fighters, but I'm pragmatic about his ability to perform at the very elite levels anymore. Miguel is now 32 years old, he's been in some wars, he's not going to get any faster or take a punch any better than he used to. Yes he's still good enough to compete at the top of 154, but P4P....those days are gone.

    Here's the cold hard truth.

Delvin Rodriguez is 33, 5(2 KO's)-5-2 in his last 12 fights, and his style is not one that mirrors: Floyd, Canelo, or Martinez.

If Cotto fights Floyd he might do ok, he might get whupped worse, because Floyd knows what to expect even more so now. Canelo is a tricky proposition as is Martinez. Sergio is older, but he's bigger, he's a solid boxer and he's got power that can catch you off guard. We'll have to see how Canelo reacts to the defeat at the hands of Mayweather...maybe he comes back with something to prove, maybe he comes back broken. Whatever the case Miguel is not the favorite in a matchup vs any of the 3 and now with Roach a rematch vs Pac is out of the question, which IMO would have been the BEST option for him had he stayed with Diaz.

This is by no means a rebirth. He did what he was supposed to do against a level b journeymen. I hope he stays at 154 because he is not a middleweight and would probably get knocked out against Sergio which is the fight Arum is trying to make. If he wants 1 last payday then go ahead and fight Canelo or Martinez. If he wants to stay in the sport awhile longer then fight Carlos Molina for that other belt.
