Broner fights too square up to effectively use his shoulder. Also, if you notice, he never turns on his right hand,again because he is too square. And it is why he was right there for the left hooks. Really, he is a pretty poor defensive fighter.
Maidana reminded me of the 1990s MW Jorge Castro.
