This is a horrible perspective.
Pac's previous accomplishments made him the front runner and a possible 50/50 Split.
Then Floyd came up with the PED accusations that gave Floyd and his supporters a "Valid" position not to take the fight; However, Hatton, Diaz, Cotto, MAB, EM, JMM x4, Marg, Mosely, Bradley, and Rios all fought Pacquiao and didn't give a sh!t about any PED accusations.
Then Floyd and his supporters took the Role of using the Bob Arum excuse. Bob Arum was still around in 2010 at the height of the PED argument. Bob wasn't a problem then, and all of a sudden he is the main problem.
And now we shift gears to Pac doesn't derserve the fight because he hasn't proven anything with his 2 losses and a win against a unproven WW.
I don't put 100% of the blame on Floyd. But the reasons don't add up and there will always be another reason to not take the fight.
"In the end" no one deserves this fight more than Pac.

You are the Creator of all that is, all that was, and all there ever will be.....
Pac was robbed against Bradley in the majority of the world's eyes (it wasn't even close). Just like Marquez beat Pac numerous times before he eventually knocked him out. It doesn't change the fact that Pac is the second biggest star in boxing and passed his "comeback test" regardless of how poor you think Rios is.
If you consistently fight world-class/great fighters, however good/great you are, there's a strong chance you will lose.
Losses shouldn't mean shit to boxing nerds if a great fight can be made.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
I want to see Pac/Mayweather as bad as anyone else, but I want to see it when it makes sense, WHEN THERE ARE NO EXCUSES.
If PBF/Pac happens now, and PBF beats his ass, this forum will be jammed with outrage. "COWARDLY MAYWEATHER DID IT AGAIN!!! HE DUCKED AND DODGED PAC AND WAITED UNTIL HE WAS WASHED UP TO FIGHT HIM!!! THIS DOESN'T MEAN SHIT!!! PAC WOULD HAVE KO'D HIM IF THEY FOUGHT IN 2010 LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO!!!"
People will bring up the same stuff I'm bringing up now. "BEATING BRANDON RIOS DIDN'T PROVE PAC STILL HAD IT!!! HE WAS A HAND PICKED PATSY AND WASN'T EVEN A REAL WW!!! FUCK MAYWEATHER THE COWARD HE KNEW PAC DIDN'T HAVE IT ANYMORE!!"
So I'm saying let Pac prove to the world he's still the man, that he still has the goods, and that he can still get the job done vs Mayweather at WW. Let him fight a top WW guy, whether that's a rematch vs Bradley or a bout with a guy like Keith Thurman, and let him beat them convincingly. Then when Pac and Mayweather fight, there are no excuses. Nobody can say Pac is washed up or didn't have it anymore.
Like it or not, there are still serious questions about Pac. He got KTFO so bad his friends, family, trainer and countrymen were talking retirement. And he hasn't had a KO/TKO since Cotto, which was almost 5 years ago, which is strange considering Pac is supposed to be the best finisher/most dangerous guy in boxing.
Fight a real WW and put to rest any thoughts that you're washed up or that you should retire. Then we can see Pac vs Mayweather.
And someone please tell me that beating Brandon Rios proves he still has it, so I can laugh at you.
Since when has that ever mattered to Floyd or anyone else in professional boxing. Floyd wants fights that make "cents" period. Pac is that fight.
If Pac beats Bradley (which he already did in most eyes), or beats any other top WW. You don't think Floyd will come up with another reason why Pac isn't deserving. And you will be the first to rinse and repeat Floyds reasoning. It'll come right back to the list of excuses. Its HBO, Arum, contracts, money, the weather, the president, the government. Blah Blah Blah...

I would absolutely not parrot Floyd.
I smashed Floyd for considering fighting Khan, who I think is even more undeserving than Pacquiao. If that fight happens, you'll see me on here criticising Floyd as much as anyone else.
Back in 2010, there was serious demand that Pac/Mayweather happen. Pac had a lot of pull because he was looked at as a serious threat to Mayweather, with a lot of people thinking Pacquaio would KTFO Floyd. In short, boxing OWED us that fight.
That fight isn't owed to us now, because there are more deserving guys to get the shot at Floyd (Tim Bradley).
As far as reasons for the fight not happening go, I'm not on one side or the other. I don't think it's a black and white issue like most people do. I think both deserve the blame. It was a matter of two prima donnas, two giant egos clashing and ruining what should have been the fight of the century.
But even if Mayweather decides to fight Khan, as bad as that is, it isn't as bad as Pac wanting to fight 130lbers like Mikey Garcia and Gamboa![]()
I dont neccissarily disagree with this but I think one win is enough to get him back in there with Floyd, especially because he got ripped off against Bradley.
Im not saying that win catapults him back up the rankings but these are fights hes taking only because the fight he wants eludes him. He already fought JMM 3 times, the only reason they fought again is because Floyd wouldnt fight him. He didnt have the burning desire to fight JMM again. How could he after 3 absolute wars and 2 wins (even tho all 3 were controversial). Now that JMM has got a win against Pac, he doesnt want anymore either. These two never want to see each other in the ring again. Pac didnt want to see JMM in the ring again before the 4th fight.
Pac was eventually going to lose if he kept fighting, it was only a matter of time. After BS excuses for 5 year, Pac finally lost. And now they finally have a half way legit reason not to fight. But considering he got ripped of in one and the other was a 4 fight return match, I say he gets a pass on this one and deserves the fight.
Khan is no less deserving than anyone else besides Pac. Except maybe Bradley, I will give you that one. Record wise, Bradley should get the fight but I dont think its something you could criticize Floyd for if he fights Khan instead, especially when we still have a Pac fight that should happen over both.
Just like every other fight Floyd has taken in the past 5 years, Floyd should be criticized if its not Pac.
I think he beat Bradley too, but he got a gift vs JMM in the fight before that one, so IMO it evens out.
All I'm saying is they should build up this fight. It'll never mean as much as it would have back in 2010, but it can still be a fight for the ages.
Let Pac go out there and fight and beat a real, top ranked WW. A Bradley rematch would be best case scenario, because Bradley is higher ranked and a legit top 3 p4p fighter. Pac beats him (again) and BOOM, Pac is back to the #2 spot in the sport.
Then we can really get excited about this fight. All thoughts about whether or not Pac is washed up are out the window. If he beats Bradley's ass (again), he for sure belongs in there with Mayweather.
Right now, this is a "lets make this fight for shits and giggles because it didn't happen four years ago" fight. Pac beats Bradley, and suddenly it's a legitimite showdown between two of the division and the sport's best. There's no excuses for the loser.
Isn't that what we all want? Why do we want to go into a monster fight like Pac/Mayweather questioning if Pac still has what it takes? It's stupid matchmaking, but unfortunately it seems to be common place in boxing to the point where boxing fans are used to it.
It's like Mayweather/Judah... they had planned to do it, but Judah lost to Baldomir so the fight no longer made sense... but they went through with it anyway and it was a pointless fight.
I hate to say it but Pac is washed up. Watch his recent fights, hes not the same Pac at all. I could have chalked up the lackluster performance against Bradley to lack of desire but after seeing him in JMM 4 and against Rios, he just doesnt look the same, not even close at that. Desire could be the issue I suppose.
The only hope for Pac to regain desire and come into a fight anywhere near as sharp as he used to be is to give him a fight he wants. This is the only fight he has reason to fight.
In most other circumstances, I say yes, a fighter would need a couple more fights to get back up there. But I think one fight to knock off some ring rust is enough for Pac and is best for him.
His level of fights in the tank is running low. The sooner the better for Pac. Taking another fight or two would only do harm for Pac.
