Yeah, except maybe the guys that are RANKED ABOVE HIM.
Since when has that ever mattered to Floyd or anyone else in professional boxing. Floyd wants fights that make "cents" period. Pac is that fight.

If Pac beats Bradley (which he already did in most eyes), or beats any other top WW. You don't think Floyd will come up with another reason why Pac isn't deserving. And you will be the first to rinse and repeat Floyds reasoning. It'll come right back to the list of excuses. Its HBO, Arum, contracts, money, the weather, the president, the government. Blah Blah Blah...

I would absolutely not parrot Floyd.

I smashed Floyd for considering fighting Khan, who I think is even more undeserving than Pacquiao. If that fight happens, you'll see me on here criticising Floyd as much as anyone else.

Back in 2010, there was serious demand that Pac/Mayweather happen. Pac had a lot of pull because he was looked at as a serious threat to Mayweather, with a lot of people thinking Pacquaio would KTFO Floyd. In short, boxing OWED us that fight.

That fight isn't owed to us now, because there are more deserving guys to get the shot at Floyd (Tim Bradley).

As far as reasons for the fight not happening go, I'm not on one side or the other. I don't think it's a black and white issue like most people do. I think both deserve the blame. It was a matter of two prima donnas, two giant egos clashing and ruining what should have been the fight of the century.

But even if Mayweather decides to fight Khan, as bad as that is, it isn't as bad as Pac wanting to fight 130lbers like Mikey Garcia and Gamboa

Khan is no less deserving than anyone else besides Pac. Except maybe Bradley, I will give you that one. Record wise, Bradley should get the fight but I dont think its something you could criticize Floyd for if he fights Khan instead, especially when we still have a Pac fight that should happen over both.

Just like every other fight Floyd has taken in the past 5 years, Floyd should be criticized if its not Pac.

I think he beat Bradley too, but he got a gift vs JMM in the fight before that one, so IMO it evens out.

All I'm saying is they should build up this fight. It'll never mean as much as it would have back in 2010, but it can still be a fight for the ages.

Let Pac go out there and fight and beat a real, top ranked WW. A Bradley rematch would be best case scenario, because Bradley is higher ranked and a legit top 3 p4p fighter. Pac beats him (again) and BOOM, Pac is back to the #2 spot in the sport.

Then we can really get excited about this fight. All thoughts about whether or not Pac is washed up are out the window. If he beats Bradley's ass (again), he for sure belongs in there with Mayweather.

Right now, this is a "lets make this fight for shits and giggles because it didn't happen four years ago" fight. Pac beats Bradley, and suddenly it's a legitimite showdown between two of the division and the sport's best. There's no excuses for the loser.

Isn't that what we all want? Why do we want to go into a monster fight like Pac/Mayweather questioning if Pac still has what it takes? It's stupid matchmaking, but unfortunately it seems to be common place in boxing to the point where boxing fans are used to it.

It's like Mayweather/Judah... they had planned to do it, but Judah lost to Baldomir so the fight no longer made sense... but they went through with it anyway and it was a pointless fight.

Bradley deserves it more than anyone. He's legit top 3 p4p and he's at the top of Floyd division.

I don't know how anyone could argue Pac over Bradley, when Bradley is higher ranked than Pac at this point and is coming off a win over a fellow top p4p fighter.

The way I argue Pac over Bradley is Bradley should come after Pac. And they both cant fight Bradley.

Give Bradley the winner. If the winner retires then who cares we got to see the Pac vs PBF fight.

He already has a W over Pac and if Floyd keeps at it then there will eventually be a top contender that will miss out on a Floyd fight because he retires so why cant it be Bradley.

I hate to say it but Pac is washed up. Watch his recent fights, hes not the same Pac at all. I could have chalked up the lackluster performance against Bradley to lack of desire but after seeing him in JMM 4 and against Rios, he just doesnt look the same, not even close at that. Desire could be the issue I suppose.

The only hope for Pac to regain desire and come into a fight anywhere near as sharp as he used to be is to give him a fight he wants. This is the only fight he has reason to fight.

In most other circumstances, I say yes, a fighter would need a couple more fights to get back up there. But I think one fight to knock off some ring rust is enough for Pac and is best for him.

His level of fights in the tank is running low. The sooner the better for Pac. Taking another fight or two would only do harm for Pac.

So the logic is give Pac the Mayweather fight because he's washed up and could keel over any second and we don't know how many fights he has left? That if given a huge megafight he MIGHT decide to take it seriously and give us a good fight?

What's the point? As the #1 p4p, Floyd should be made to fight only the top fighters in the sport. Why would we want to see him vs a washed up Pac?

Jeez, way to sell me on the fight
