They have removed an aspect of padding because the reduction in concussion gained from removing head guards MASSIVELY outweighs the increase in cuts.

If they removed gloves then hand injuries and cuts would increase much more than concussions.

You can't throw a full bodied shot without gloves unless you don't mind breaking your hands. It's as simple as that.

If the punch that Haye threw was landed with even as much force as a gloved shot chisora would have taken several times in sparring, then why wasn't there notable damage to either Haye's hand or the soft tissue of Chisora's cranium? You are working on the presumption that no one can throw a full blooded shot n anger without gloves on whithout breaking their hands. You are wrong. Iv done it plenty of times n anger and imsure many thers have and not on a target thatgives like a head either.

Yes if you are repeatedly landi g shots over 12 rou ds you would hurt your hands but a one off full hoooded shot in anger, lts of people throw them and those that know how to land a punch properly dont hurt themselves.

Haye didn't damage his hand (he has broken it whilst wearing gloves so we know it breaks)
Chisora wasn't cut, didn't suffer an orbital fracture, broken jaw or anything of that nature

Those are facts, I presume nothing and they all support that the blow Haye landed wasn't as concussive as a full bodied, gloved shot... Let alone several.

If force = mass x acceleration, please explain what affect a glove on force has on force, be specific.

The reduction in force is negligable, the resuction in damgage to hand and facial structures is what is significant here.

Ross is just confused here. His logic behind a bare fist doing more damage is that its a harder surface. Its an easy mistake to make. A barefist punch will hurt you more and is more likey to cause cuts or a broken bone. However, if there is no cut and bone damage the impact of that shot has no extra impact on the brain then a gloved punch. Damage to the brain comes from shots causing the brain to rock in your head. Once the physical damage, cut, bone damage, internal bleeding etc is not caused it makes very little difference what causes the impact be it a bare knuck, gloved fist or even a hammer or baseball bat.

So Haye didnt break Chisoras jaw bare knuckle and he's a big punching Heavyweight but Burns got his jaw broke by a way smaller way lesser powered puncher wearing a Glove ?
