Ross is just confused here. His logic behind a bare fist doing more damage is that its a harder surface. Its an easy mistake to make. A barefist punch will hurt you more and is more likey to cause cuts or a broken bone. However, if there is no cut and bone damage the impact of that shot has no extra impact on the brain then a gloved punch. Damage to the brain comes from shots causing the brain to rock in your head. Once the physical damage, cut, bone damage, internal bleeding etc is not caused it makes very little difference what causes the impact be it a bare knuck, gloved fist or even a hammer or baseball bat.
