There is that arguement.
Then theres the arguement of:-
1. Khan has never fought at 147
2. Khan has lost two of his biggest fights at 140.
3. Khans last wins were against lightweights
4. Khan nearly lost in last fight to a past prime by 8 yrs lightweight.
5. Khan hasnt fought for ten months
6. Khan is a spoilt brat.
7. Khan has never avenged his losses.

1. Maidana hasnt done well at 147.
2. Maidana lost 2 of his biggest fights at 140 including to Khan
3. If u want to call Diaz a lightweight, then Maidana's last win was against a Super-Feather
4. Maidana bearly beat Morales who is about 10 years past his prime
5. Maidana has never avenged his losses

Imp wins point 1
Khan was the better fighter at 140lb - point bzkfn
Broner will never fight at super feather again - point imp
Maidana victory was better point imp
Draw who cares if they never avenge their losses.
The battle is declared a draw.![]()

I agree with your last statement. Truth be told I don't think either of them deserve this fight. I was just making the point that most of the things you said about Khan you could also say about Maidana. The only reason Maidana's win against Broner was considered such an upset is that he'd choked in every big fight previous to this. Boxers generally make him look stupid. Khan isn't going to improve, you're right, but he is electric on the attack and his fights are almost always exciting. I don't get all the hate with him. He's entertaining. As a boxing fan you should love guys who are all or nothing like him.
How much longer can they wait to announce his next fight ? I'm starting to think he might pull out and just fight in September

I do like khan and he is exciting.
I just feel that a boxers age isnt always prime related.
Khan has been in some tough battles and the biggest point for me as someone mentioned is the fact he chose to sat on his arse for ten months and expect the mayweather fight.
Your right, they both dont deserve it but this is all we have right now.
It's all about what's fresh in peoples minds. Maidana just came off a huge, entertaining, and emphatic win over a big name opponent that was supposed to be the next big thing. He is on a 4 fight win streak...most by KO/TKO. Khan has not looked impressive in a LONG time...even when he has won. Add to it that people are overselling Khan's PPV popularity (he is not Hatton)...Maidana deserves this fight.

Just can't get pumped about either one frankly. Kind if like just waiting to catch a cab to work and get another day over with. Just a formality feel. Mentally I think Maidana is far more suited to fight him, physically may lean Khan. But the kid is just so tightly wired and a bundle of nerves. Floyd's speed and accuracy should really do a number on that.
danny and tim have both become manny. Floyd will never give any of them a chance. probably scared they have a chance of beating him
Array
so Maidana wasn't one of his best wins, yet Maidana is more worthy of fighting Floyd, even though Khan already beat him

Julio Diaz also nearly beat Shawn whatshisface. The same Shawn whatshisface who would probably also beat Maidana, IMHO
No. He's pretty much the real deal.
No, he was just mis-labled as a box-puncher. IMO brawlers are underrated. Plus he lost to a one-time, largely underrated Danny Garcia.
I wouldn't know about that but in Broner's case, yeah. He was a massive hype job who subsequently has his ego inflated all the way up to 147 where in all honestly, he probably could have done with staying between 135-140. I'm not saying he is useless but not having the tools to beat Maidana is not good. Even an old fat Morales pretty much did it.

It never ceases to amaze me how a lot of boxing fans have no clue about momentum: that boxing is a "what have you done lately" sport, not a "what did you do 4 years ago" sport.
