I can't disagree with your edit, there's really no way to know. I just listed guys that were generally smart fighters that I think each brings something to the table. For instance you crossed off Danny Garcia. Dude has great timing which comes from recognition, he's cool as a cucumber which is a plus in the corner and sticks to a gameplan like very few others. Helpful traits to pass on. I could list what I see in each but that would be incredibly long. And we don't know who has the passion, for training.
I like Garcia. I think he is the next fighter, post Money Mayweather, that can run the table through his career. He can retire undefeated and a multiple title holder. But as a trainer, I doubt he can summon the courage to train. He is NOT his father in terms of verbiage, motivation and support. jmo...

I think Marvin Hagler would have been a great trainer. As a fighter, the guy had everything, but it's his attitude and mindset that would have made him an invaluable trainer. He was the consummate pro in training, was always fired up and ready to fight and was one mean, angry mofo.
He made his millions and never needed to do this, but can you imagine how useful he would have been to young fighters?
