I can't disagree with your edit, there's really no way to know. I just listed guys that were generally smart fighters that I think each brings something to the table. For instance you crossed off Danny Garcia. Dude has great timing which comes from recognition, he's cool as a cucumber which is a plus in the corner and sticks to a gameplan like very few others. Helpful traits to pass on. I could list what I see in each but that would be incredibly long. And we don't know who has the passion, for training.
I like Garcia. I think he is the next fighter, post Money Mayweather, that can run the table through his career. He can retire undefeated and a multiple title holder. But as a trainer, I doubt he can summon the courage to train. He is NOT his father in terms of verbiage, motivation and support. jmo...

Glen Johnson, indeed. He can do it. In fact, it should be his next step. DLH I would never consider- he is fine right where he is, doing promotions and making heaps of cash in the meantime.

The more I think about it I don't like him either but for different reasons. He's a bit robotic, great trainers tend to be charismatic and frankly a bit off their nut. Garcia is a follower not a leader.
