The only thing that would make this fight even bigger than it is already slated to be is IF they waive the three knockdown rule and impose the standing 8. A literal fight to the death. This is a fight Arthur Mercante Jr. can ref... I would allow it. lolololol.....

I think Chavez has been sponging too much leather over last few and its about to catch up. Realize he already looks like the caveman who walked off a Geico commercial but can only see Golovkin beating him misshapen and distorted.

If GGG beat Sergio he would stay and unify the titles and defend them a couple of times first before moving up would be more realistic.

Sir, you have it figured right. Moving up is best done slowly and carefully, just look at Broner's quick climb to disaster.

what is it with these mexican rising stars (chavez and canelo) who love fighting fighters way smaller than them?

The Home Depot Center doesn't have the "ring" to it. Plus, Inglewood is where most of the action and notoriety is when we talk about major events in Cali.

The Forum is the only place west of Kentucky that's suitable for fights EXCEPT for the Alamo Dome.

The Forum should be a permanent fixture for fights and fight fans...

So, now, we have Maddison Sq. Garden, Atlantic City (BoardWalk Hall), Las Vegas (Bellagio and Cesar's Palace), the Alamo Dome and THE GREAT WESTERN FORUM!!

I agree that The Forum is a magical place but have you even been to Home Depot Center??

The facility isnt extravagant but from my experience, something about the place brings out the best out of the fighters..

Of all the times I was there, there has never been a bad event except for maybe paul williams-margarito ...

I can name so many classic fights that took place at the HDC such as marquez-vazquez, rios-alvarado and many more ...

What I like the most about hdc is the fact that it's cozy and not a bad seat in the house...

Hdc is a magical boxing venue bruh.. shit goes down over there

I have seen thousands and thousands of rounds of boxing at the Forum, from Barrera to Pendleton and Ruelas, Chiquita Gonzalez, Carbajal and Tommy Hearns. The only time I saw Chavez (SR) there, he was in the crowd and he had been drinking. I saw Jorge Paez start into the crowd after a guy that yelled at him in Spanish- he was in the crowd and he had been drinking too- and nearly saw Tone Loc get his ass kicked by Asluden Umarov at ringside. For a long time my regular seat was right next to the ring-card girls, and you always had to get there early for the bikini contests for future Ms Ringsider girls.
In other words, I'd sell my soul to go to another world title fight at the Forum.
