I would agree with that. The problem with that is it really a test? How good is Tyson Fury? They both look good but both has never been tested. Since Fury has a name in this sport that means a good payday for both and a shot at the title. I would doubt Fury would fight him. He's trying to come through the back door to get a shot at the title. He wants a rematch with a guy Haye beat the shit of. Wilder seems to be a guy nobody wants to fight. At least Wilder will go everywhere to fight anyone.
Fury or Wlad is not the one punch KO artist that Wilder is. I haven't seen that kind of power since big George.
I just don't see a ko artist, its more paint by numbers. His power is pretty overstated vs the stunt men and ghosts he has faced. He can be very vulnerable and sloppy on delivery and you need more then a heavy right hand against Wlad these days. Ko records are constructed with guys like this, Shannon Briggs also ran up fifteen 1st round kos in 25-0 exactly like Wilder has. Beyond the numbers alot of Wilders inferior opponents actually got up, at least 4 were back of the head shots like tub of goo Damon McCreary who was last a Spr Middleweight defore Wilder fought him. I'm no Wlad fan, but I think he would melt Wilder down and put a brutal brutal schooling on him off that jab.
I would agree with that. Wilder has never really been tested. The is more to a fighter than just punching power. That's why I started the thread to see if anyone thought if he was the real deal. Maybe somebody knows more than I do. I haven't seen him fight a lot. Until he can show me something then I'll say he's the man. What has help Wlad is that he's been fighting people who are shorter than himself. He can keep people off with his jab and tie then up when getting inside. Wlad doesn't have that vs Wilder. Plus it's getting toward the end of his career. He's getting married soon so I don't see him having his heart in the sport very long. With all that said that may give Wilder more than just a puncher chance.
