Nah. If you gave me 100 bucks I could write up a detailed, persuasive account of why each guy should have won that fight 117-111.

There were almost zero dominant rounds. Alvarez won (and it wasn't by any means a robbery) without landing a single meaningful head shot.

If we're stretching it (and I would demand more money for this), I could argue 120-108 for either guy.

Lara DOMINATED the first 3 and then clearly won the 5th, and IMO the 8th, that's 5 rounds in his favor, so how the hell could he be down 6 points?

Exactly. I have no issues with 2 of the cards, but that final card in particular is beyond any redemption. 117-111 did not happen and I assume most views will reflect that. Close fight perhaps, but to score a one sided fight? That is just gibberish. Too much of the Oscar powder methinks.
