No, it wasn't domination, just the calculated picking off of a come forward fighter. Still that's 3 that we both agree on from the off. I'm sure there will be other rounds we agree on too, though I will need to watch them properly again due to stream chop. If you scored Lara the first 3 and then went to sleep, then for sure 117-111 Alvarez might make more sense. Most would agree it was close and a case can be made either way.

I had Canelo winning 116-112.
Lara ran too much, he fought like he was afraid. There's a difference between running and good ring generalship.
I had Lara edging it. But I don't feel good about that.
Granted, I've only watched it once, but the only round I feel good about scoring for Lara was the first.
He just didn't do enough. The best shots of the fight were Canelo's body shots. Easily the best shots.
Again, I feel like I could make a strong case for either guy winning that fight 117-111. The rounds were all close. There were no dominant rounds and I feel like this: "just the calculated picking off of a come forward fighter" is a bit much.
I'm always embarrassed for "boxing fans" when "running" comes up after a fight. All "running" is to them is an excuse to dismiss better work. 115-113 is acceptable either way, 114-114 is probably the right score. 117-111 is a f'n joke and anyone defending 117-111 is just as f'n ridiculous as that score.

Here's a good gif of the Kameda KO.

Just rewatched the fight. Lara got robbed. Canelos corner telling him in the corner he needed the 12th that it was too close and he needed to push the action.

You know I'm not really all that upset about the decision. I thought it was close. I'm severely pissed off about the purchased guarantee and the fact that people actually expected Lara to fight like Alvarez and because he didn't he should lose. Saying the right man won and ignoring these two things just doesn't cut it for me. After all of these years these weekly charlatan cards are starting to turn me off of the sport. Its not even boxing anymore and is starting to move ever so closely to things like reality tv and fake wrestling.
I had canelo edging it 8-4, not emotionally invested in either fighter. the rounds that lara won he did so with effective movement but I felt majority of the rounds he was running

I think Lara did better work. Alvarez didn't even land 100 punches he played to Laras game and lost.
But we've been told by people on this site "only Canelos punches counted" so 117-111 makes perfect sense. Apparently Lara only threw jabs even though I distinctly remember him landing more hooks than Canelo landed head shots, those don't count. And I remember him snapping Canelos head around with lefts, but those don't count. And he landed body punches of his own, but those don't count. As long as they all don't count it's 117-111.
Either guy close is good but all the ways fans find to dismiss what actually happened in the fight is infuriating.
