and why is Hearn a clever Bastard? because after Saturday's fiasco, he can even chip their purse a little because if either of them were to stall because they weren't happy with the purse , they would be seen to be chickening out!!! he is calling all the shots here and the fighters' enthusiasm to get it on will lead to them getting mugged off!
relax geezer
I doubt very much it will be pay per view
and I think its the best possible thing that can happen in both fighter's careers at this time so everyones happy
apart from you, but I don't think that's a big problem
Ah, ok, "Geezer". my point is more about how people not unlike yourself , fall for the hype and for hype read paying more for relatively mediocre quality fights, whether you actually attend events or subscribe and settle for this quite contentedly . Basically getting MUGGED OFF! PPV or not, this fight will get blown up, and not for the quality of the fight or fighters.
Here's a point to dwell on, my Pedigree Chum.... Tickets for the Brook vs Porter show , which has 3 world title fights including Bika vs Dirrell start at $25 and go up to $150.
How do you think Bellew vs Cleverley will compare , Geezer?
I think its only you comparing it to the brook porter fight
no one else is really that arsed
If youre trying to cause a row with a brit about something for some reason then you've picked a pretty lame subject
if you want to get on a brits nerves mention calzaghes slapping and padded record or how naz was exposed as soon as he fought at the top, something like that, geezer

I am pretty sure Primo is a Brit and that any niggle, irk or anger you think is in his post is being projected by you Eric. His point is valid, Hearn could sell snow to Iaminuit and Oregano to Brockton, but that is kind of his job description, as a promoter,to hype things.
Correct on virtually everything Greenbeanz. I Do live in Britain and
the thread isn't to Irk or anger anyone although I can't say the same for Eric. I wasn't criticising Hearn, infact I was complimenting him for how well he does his job. my point is that because a fight gets hyped up and the money is big, the less knowledgeable fans (who the sport needs because they bring the money in ) then think these guys are world beaters. What happens next is that these guys then meet a World class opponent and get beat.
I know it's a business, and I know we don't live in an ideal world . However , I believe that what you earn should equate to how good you are. For example , Carl Froch can earn £8 - £10 million for beating somebody who although I believe has potential and I like , hasn't ever won a World title. Whereas it would take Andre Ward (who nobody can deny is better than Froch) 4 fights to earn that.
And before everybody says , tough on Ward because he is boring to watch or he shouldn't have been so greedy and argued with his promotion company , I'll give you another example.
Pacquiao and Bradley combined wouldn't earn what Froch did when they fought each other, and nobody can dispute that is an Elite fight. same goes for Canelo vs Lara .
and I don't blame Froch, good luck to him, you've got to earn the best you can, the same goes for Bellew and Cleverley . I just don't see the correlation between Quality and Value for Money.
