It's better to be safe than sorry. One must try to restrict ones harmful impact on the world and when things go wrong, as they logically will, then be prepared. Too many go through life without thinking about the future and have a 'I could be dead tomorrow' attitude. It is true that you could be dead tomorrow, but what if you aren't and you are in an overpopulated planet with diminished resources? These are important things that people MUST think about. That is why people need to wake up today and resist tyranny. Right now they are planning to destroy the wonderful UK with fracking. Sure, some companies can make quick profits, but if we care about the future then we should worry and therefore take action. Lazing on the sofa getting fat isn't an option.
