Maidana was wearing the custom flat Everlasts. He got beat and much worse then the first time and the point deduction and bite gate made no difference whatsoever.

It was an ugly fight but Maidana is the one that initiated all the horse shit and lets face it that's the only chance he had of winning. An ugly fight.

Some people want Floyd to lose so bad that they simply make shit up or like Jim Lampley see things during fight time that are not there and calling punches that were not even thrown. Ugly ass fight that Floyd still won 8 rounds to 4 at worst.

One thing I will say on Floyd is that he's lost something and I had been saying that through the entire buildup and it seemed more mental to me then physical which in my view can effect the physical. He seemed to get his mojo back at the weigh in and looked like a man on a mission at fight time but I think that was fronted. I think he has some real issues upstairs and its mixing with his hubris.

He might want to think about getting an outside trainer. His old man never gave him one coherent message in the corner last night or one bit of actual in fight boxing advice unless you include "we got this"
Good post. I agree with what you say.

I think Floyd needs Roger back as main trainer and corner man. To me it seems like Floyd gets hit more since senior has been in the corner even though he's supposed to be the more defense first guy.

Something is definitely not right with the guy. Its like he's absent or not all there. That 50 and 0 mark must look like a pretty long road right now. He might want to consider a real shakeup and total change of surroundings imo. I think his personal life is getting to him and combined with all the hubris, that's a dangerous cocktail.

    No, Maidana never bit him.

Floyd was lying because he was in a bit of trouble at that moment and wanted time to recover.
DAMN STRAIGHT!!! Finally, someone see's and accepts the truth. Floyd was hurt and wanted time!

Maidana bit him in both fights.

if he did bite him, good! he deserved it for sticking his fucking glove in his mouth and eyes! and for holding and pushing all night. that ref sucked ass and was 200% on gayweathers payroll. i dont understand how anyone can back a fighter who does all that running? why not just root for a track star?

Easy fight for floyd but also "wladdyesque". Bayless was shit not that it would have mattered but would have been nice to see to even give one single warning to floyd for the blatant hugs. Maidana dissapointed and actually tried boxing with mayweather at times, wtf? decreased his output by 200 odd punches or so from the first go and the only way he was winning is if he had increased his output by 200. I don't see danny beating mayweather, people forget khan was schooling danny till his chin failed him, herrera beat him in many people's eyes, and even an old past it floyd is better than herrera. Khan would make it fun for a while but he'd get caught. Fairly certain Mayweather retires with the 0

Bayless wasn't at his best last night. Bad night for Bayless.

Bayless was terrible in an awful fight. Mayweather won, looked good in spots, cheated a lot, and did some running. Crappy event. Next bum please....Oh, Thurman? Make it Khan, at least give us the style to have a fun fight.

I watched it with no sound on, in a bar in Kavos, and felt like Floyd won easily enough. It was always going to be as uncomfortable as the first fight for him. He's not on the slide though. Only a year ago he schooled Alvarez. Maidana is a bad style for him. Simple as that really. And he did bite him. Was obvious to see.

I was actually thinking that myself as well, that Maidana's style was tough for him to deal with. But I think maybe it's that and Mayweather getting older too.
