The old coach of the last gym that I was a member at taught that power was generated by the chest moving forward in this case the chest isn't going forward it looks like it's actually resting backwards at 15°.so where does the power come from?isn't the transference of bodily weight part of boxing? Also the new coach doesn't step into his punches instead he uses his back foot or what I mean to say is that he puts his hind leg back to get distance which is bizarre because I was always taught that one had to step into the punch to get power where coach puts his rear foot back to get distance, without moving the lead foot backwards.to be quite honest about it I was talking to one of the other trainers in the gym and they say that outside of the gym most trainers look on him as being a bad trainer because they think that by him, fighting off the back foot with his back straight up and tilted backwards that he's going to get hit coming in.but then the question is why does he have so much success with his fighters why is he sending a fighter to the nationals and he's trained other good fighters who have won the Golden gloves.it's weird I've never seen a style like this before. I am a little fearful that I might get hit coming in like the other trainers from other clubs say but then I trust you scrap.
