Chavez Jr is the hell of a lazy fellow and of a slacker. I think that he mainly achieved glory by a long long career of riding his father's name and of show cleverly orchestrated by Top Rank to attract mAssively mexican/hispanic fans but in the end, his own ethics will break him from being a really meaningful boxer and beating all the names he should be fighting.

the funny thing is that this is so blatantly obvious, yet many people dont see it. it seems that there are a lot of people that still try to defend chavez as if he really is a top contender.
i dont mind this fight for froch's sake since he has earned being able to fight in vegas. its a perfect fight for him. he gets to fight in vegas and make good money by fighting a big name who isnt very good. he will look impressive because of that.
I really like this fight in Vegas. It's huge. I favor Froch big time in a way, but Junior has a world class chin. I can't recall when's even been buzzed before, let alone knocked own or out. Of course, that could be due in part to his competition. Strangely, he'll be the bigger man than Froch on fight night. I think it's a fun, interesting fight. I'm all for it.
If Froch wins, I must say I like the idea of GGG against Froch in the UK. In terms of legacy, I don't really see the need for Froch to have another strong domestic win against the likes of Groves/DeGale. If Ward is still out of the game, Froch against GGG might be the best at 160 against the best at 168.
Froch is chasing the money fighting the cash cow that is Junior. A waste of his time but good for his wallet.
Froch will do everything other than fight De Gale.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Why would he fight DeGale? DeGale lost to a guy Froch beat and he hasn't notched any great wins otherwise. He doesn't even have a belt to unify with. I don't see DeGale as some monstrous challenge. He's good and has looked the part against the level of competition he's faced so far, but he doesn't have any great wins. I would pick Froch as a pretty big favorite.
If you're looking at true challenges for Froch against someone he hasn't already faced, it's really just GGG.
