Why do you think they're all calling Fury out , Ross? Listen , I love Fury, he seems a great guy, he's got a lot of heart, he has improved as well, but the reason they call him out is because they think they can beat him, simple as that. Not true. You are underestimating Tyson.Wach is utter shite.Nobody in their forties then @ross? Didn't think so.
With every point you make, you're essentially calling Fury shite:
You say Haye only fights older heavyweights - Fury's best win is against an older man and cruiserweight at that.
You say Haye was knocked down by Monte Barrett - He slipped on an advertisement card, but that's besides the point... An older cruiserweight floored fury.
You diminish Haye knocking out Chisora in 5 rounds - it took Fury twice as long as a cruiserweight to finish off his own left overs in luke warm fashion, despite enjoying a considerable height and reach advantage.
You criticise Haye for not fighting people younger than him - Haye has given up weight/height/reach in several bouts... Pretty much everything but age...
name a young, even average fighter that Fury has fought were he hasn't enjoyed a considerable height and reach advantage? When is he going to step up and fight somebody closer in size like Wach? We've yet to see him use his boxing ability when his size advantage has been removed or even diminished.
You can justifiably think little of Haye, but at least be consistent and unbiased and apply your own standards to Fury as well.
When the Chisora rematch was announced it was a chance for Chisora to prove it was because he wasn't in shape last time, that it was all down to his weight.
Haye had to throw caution to the wind to stop Chisora as he was blowing out his ass and getting bulled around. Tyson didn't break a sweat and had Chisora under control. He could have stopped him in the first, he had the legs going from the first left hook he threw. He stood off because they wanted and needed rounds. Thats how good Fury is. He can make easy work of Hayes best win
Winning the Heavyweight title was his best win at the weight Ross.
The facts are that Haye is Box Office and fighters like Fury simply are not and never will be because Fury doesn't entertain when he's in the ring intact he's boring to watch unless he's being interviewed.
Haye knocks people out on a regular basis which is what people love in the Heavyweight division.
It's all a Business Ross.... have you not worked that out yet?
This is why an inactive fighter like Haye has everyone talking about him on the back of a photograph of him having Breakfast with Vitali
He still brings enough money to any fight where he can simply leapfrog the entire division (good thing or bad thing for boxing?) and get straight back into the mix with any top Heavyweight.
Floyd Mayweather is the biggest draw in boxing now but didnt become a pay per view fighter until his 17th world championship fight!! He wasnt a draw. His first pay per view was against Gatti. The fight before that, he faced Bruseles and only 4000 people attended that fight.
Tyson is yet to fight for a world championship and has already had 2 pay per views build around him only to fall apart due to the opponent pulling out twice. That pay per view would not have happened without Tyson. Not that a pay per view is indicative of the quality of a fight when you look at the shit Hearn produces. Over 18,000 bought tickets to watch a show Tyson headlined. Thats a big difference to Floyds 4000 in his 17 world championship fight.
My point is, Tyson is only 26. Give him the right opponent that isnt so, so easy to outbox and he already has the exposure and potential to be massive.
In fact, I think Hayes first pay per view fight wasnt until Valuev?
Every heavyweight interviewed in America calls Tyson out. His name is growing before hes even got on the world stage. He has the potential to be absolutely huge!
