Haymon has the chance to put a world heavyweight championship fight on NBC network in primetime. So there's a good chance it'll be somebody capable of surviving for a round or four before getting spectacularly KOd.

Haymon has to make this NBC thing work which means bringing in casual and new fans and Wilder winning the belt is Haymon's best option to do that.

It would seem another American would fit the bill. Briggs just may be the one.

Free tv and blockbuster fight like this would be great for boxing! It would get the mainstream back!

In America we had Cossell on ABC, then after him football legend Dan Dierdoff commentated on ABC world of boxing and I think on our CBS network we had a dude named Brent Mussburger..in between 1/2 time of an NBA game - he interviewed Hearns & Haglar...ahh the days when boxing was a part of the daily networks sport shows.

Commercials nowadays goes to the NBA, NFL & MLB athletes, but back in the day?

Wilder vs Fury is the only fight people want to see. It's a low risk high reward for Wilder.
