Boxing was here before we were born and will be here long after we've snuffed it. There are more shows in Britain now than at any time in the past. It has it's own dedicated channel for gawd's sake.

Casual boxing fans that talk to me about boxing generally get on my nerves. I'd sooner they didn't watch it.

Why do people care whether or not "casual" fans watch boxing? Is it because you want your friends to enjoy it with you? I don't get it as I couldn't give a flying fuck.

More interest = more money for the sport.

Anyone who loves boxing should want it to succeed and draw money, so it can continue to pay the fighters and put on shows.

Wanting to keep it your personal little secret is just selfish and stupid.

    err.. what?

Please, anyone, feel free to show me how boxing is failing/dying/about to end? There's currently a lack of money in the sport? (lol)

It hasn't done any damage to boxing. We'll all still watch no matter what, the casuals are quick to forgive when a contest is advertised as the best thing since sliced bread and fails to deliver. The cunts that turned up to be seen at ringside for Mayweather Pacquiao will turn out once again the next time occasion calls for them to be there.

    Boxing marches on.

Shame on you, you elitist knucklehead! You should try to give them some encouragement, explain why they're wrong. Hell man, if they show any interest, and you're too busy to talk, give them a few fights to watch on YouTube.

Most people around in my office don't even know boxing exists. I've had some casual conversation and they are clueless but hear about the fight. When asked what I though about the fight, The ones that know a little. "It's not going to live up to the hype, but it should be a fight." am I going to buy it? I don't want to risk paying for a mayweather fight, but I'll watch it for sure and it will probably be on youtube with the hour with a hundred live streams. basically I never put my foot in my mouth so no blowback in the office. How much has it hurt boxing. Can't say we will ever see another mega ppv again. GGG probably won't get the chance to break 1 million ppv because of whats happened.

Why? I don't care whether or not someone likes what I like. There are literally millions and millions of boxing fans all over the world, why would anyone give a fuck about trying to convince old dave and sue at work to be fans?

    I couldn't give a fuck.

It's not worth arguing about, but I do think you are wrong.

The biggest tragedy is that floyd is such a fuckn bellend

Yes America still have their champion, but he's a massive nob ed

Millions of people around the world tuned in to watch a fight and what they saw was a bunch of commentators and pundits and fans bumming a big penis
