Going up 2 weights, if it was now is not easy even for the great Hagler. Also the big money fights were with smaller fighters.

    B Hop and GGG know.

Spinks was one hell of a LHW. One of the very best ever. But no man whoops Haglers "fucking ass something awful".

    May I say.

    Willie 'The Worm' Monroe

Even Marvin Hagler stated that >

"Willie beat my ass in our '1st-Bout' in Philadelphia. He was the only man to beat me, in the
    true sense."

"He made me eat his left-jabs all night long. And when I got close to him, 'Bam' came in his
    right-hand into my jaw."
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That is true. Marvin had 'Nowhere to Run" that night. Willie turned 'the worm' on him"

Look Marvin Hagler fighting Spinks is no different then Hagler fighting Duran, Hearns and Leonard. But Hagler wanted the money no shame in that and sorry Bill fucking Micheal Spinks would send Hagler to his grave see what Hearns did to his face Spinks would make that look like a good day for Hagler. Also when were talking chins at lhw Spinks was never even floored and he fought some big punching fuckers. Anyhow alot of the greats have moved up even Hopkins did but there was no fucking Spinks there. So i guess i let Hagler slide for not wanting to move up and take on smaller guys instead of Spinks because god knows boxing just throws you away anyhow. I just can not believe that you mention Tito and not Micheal Spinks as well Spinks on whole another level dude need go watch the 1980s if your going to make a list.

Hagler didn't move up because he was a natural middle; he weighed 156 for one of the Hamsho fights. What did Hearns do to his face? A small cut, probably caused by a head, in a spot that bleeds profusely.

Everybody bangs the drum for a certain fighter, 140... and I guess in your case it's Michael Spinks. A dominant LHW, to be sure.... but consider that LHW has never been a "glamour" division nor one populated by enormous talent and big names the way other divisions have always been (lightweight, welter, middle, HW, for example). I've seen some of Spinks' fights. He certainly is one of the best LHW's ever. But when you factor in consistent level of opposition (not just one or two great fighters) and compare him with some of the others you'd like to remove from the list.... it just doesn't cut it. Many of those other fighters moved up 2 or more weight divisions and were successful. Spinks tried to move up one and was annihilated. Sure it was against Mike Tyson (LOL.... bad timing on his part).... but the fact remains.

Still manged to get a hw belt against the champ it was one those fights hell call it gift but manged to do it and are you saying Tito is better then Spinks is. If not for the robbery or gift he got against Oscar he pretty much lost his super Fights pretty bad. I don't know what is worse getting knocked out or losing every round and getting knocked out. Spinks is the only undefeated Lhw champ since the division was made and having Johnson, Muhammad, Qawi and Larry Holmes i think is more then enough for top 20.

Oh yea and people talking about moving up in weight and all this shit let me tell you if you move up to heavyweight and win belt by beating the man it different then moving few division in lower weights. Holyfeild I feel is one of the best pound for pound fighters there has ever been. I mean tell me a guy being a lhw to start and then becoming a top10 hw of all time that better to me then what Hop, Hagler, Jones, Mayweather and Pacquio did. The reason that shit exist is because smaller fighters lose to big guys and hw division champ is the man that can kick anybody ass. Holyfeild didnt need pound for pound he went form lhw to cw to one greatest hw champs of all time beating giants to do so he been out weighed for pretty much most of his career fighting way bigger guys.

There's a handful of fighters who can replace Spinks in that list, not just Trinidad. It is what it is.

Leonard,Lewis,Holyfeild,Mayweather,Hearns,Jones,Ty son,Holmes,Duran,Spinks,Hopkins,Hagler,Whitaker,Ch avez,Pacquio,Calzaghe,Waldimar,Marquez,Dela Hoya, Trinidad thats about the list in order i have no trouble with Tito being in there but no way i rank him higher then Spinks. Say what you want tito about the glam division or what ever but Spinks division was consider top of the crop and people gave a shit when he came on. Should look at more of his fights at the weight Spinks skills were off the charts and could ko dudes with both hands in a flash being undefeated Lhw has never happen before as champ and he held the Hw lineal championship at the same time that has never been done before either. I cut out lower weights besides Lopez because he was unbeatable and Lewis is a heavyweight that could beat anyone in the division history.

Also i did put them up in order my list and all I would like to know how people view Spinks and Hagler. They both had about the same amount of defenses and the wins they have i think are pretty equal for how good they were at there weights. Would like to hear any thoughts on it people will say Duran and Hearns but both were not same force at middle weight and Holmes fights were close for Spinks. Going off that with out those wins who would you say beat the better comp at there weight class.

What great fighters did Spinks beat? I know he was dominate champion but he was just before the time that I became a fan. Actually so was Hagler, but his fights were repeated and are classic.

There were few lhw i would say that were pretty great at the weight class Spinks was in. Muhammad, Johnson and Qawi are about as good as any mw Hagler fought what Minter last guy forgot dudes name before Hagler lost to Leonard. Hearns was pretty good at the weight but was coming up and Duran was no star really at mw and up. If we count the Hearns win i say Spinks although both fights were pretty close beating Holmes was pretty huge and going up in weight to do it looking at the names i say lhw in Spinks era are as good as any really.
