It actually is a fair point made by Rocco.

If a guy is standing completely upright and a guy is leaning more forward like Floyd does, doesn't it stand to reason that the guy leaning forward can reach farther? Especially if the difference in total reach is only half an inch?

Not being a jerk, but have you ever actually boxed before? Boxing "upright", or boxing "tall" is advantageous to the taller guy with the longer reach. Blading ur body as much as Floyd does and boxing out of a shoulder roll/crouch doesn't give u any kind of reach advantage. Look at how the Klits/Lewis fight for an example of fighting tall/upright and how effective that can be. Floyd's weapons against Tito would've been foot movement, angles/footwork, and speed. He would've landed the jab, as Hop and Oscar did, when Tito was setting his feet to punch, but if they throw jabs at the same time/speed, Tito lands his from farther away. Rocco is an idiot and rarely brings up any good points.

    Boxed and currently thai box.

Wasn't talking about Floyd standing upright in the shoulder roll, but a lot of the time he will lean forward on his lead foot.

Standing upright makes your head a farther target, but again doesn't it stand to reason that a man leaning slightly forward can reach farther than a man standing completely upright?

Either way, we're talking about a half inch reach advantage. It really is a moot point.

I'd be more interested in having someone explain to me how Tito beats Floyd. All anyone has ever come up with is that he's bigger and hits harder (a category in which pretty much all of Floyd's opponents fall into).

Are we just counting on Tito landing a hail mary left hook? Against probably the greatest defensive fighter in history? Can anyone tell me the last time Floyd took a hard left hook on the chin from an orthodox fighter?

Floyd has never faced a one punch knock out artist like Tito. At welterweight he would get caught, hurt and stopped.

What world class fighters has Tito one-punch KO'd?

Be honest with me now, how confident are you really that Tito is going to one-punch Floyd Mayweather? Does anyone else feel this way?

    Considering...

    a) In nearly 20 years of pro boxing, Floyd's been down once (he took a knee after shattering his hand)
    b) Floyd is one of the hardest guys to hit in boxing history.
    c) Floyd has shown a solid chin and the ability to recover from a big shot (or two, in the case of Mosley)
    d) Tito has never scored a one-punch knockout against a world class opponent.
    e) Tito often failed to get the KO against slicker boxers (Camacho, washed up coke addicted Sweatpea, David Reid, Oscar, Hopkins, ect)

Is that really where the smart money goes? Tito by KO? Come on.

Tito has destroyed joppy at middleweight with a frightening punch that no one has ever done to him.

Blinded by jealousy and hate... Haha!

Tito doesn't even connect with a real solid shot all night.

Floyd punches would not bother Tito either.

William Joppy and Floyd Mayweather are worlds apart.

Joppy was not world class. Who had he ever fought before getting wrecked by Tito and Papa's hand wraps?

Joppy was a true middleweight and he was destroyed. Tito blew away a fighter 2 weights above his best weight.

Joppy was a true C level middleweight.

Trinidad had illegal hand wraps (yes, the fight was in NY, and Papa said always wrapped his hands that way, so we know they were illegal wraps). Have you looked into how Joppy feels about Tito and his cheating?

Mayweather moves all night against Tito. Never allows him to set his feet. Tito doesn't get a good shot off all night!

Floyd runs all night not being allowed to set his own feet, running like Oscar did and losing the rounds for not engaging with a real welterweight puncher.

    This is probably true.
However in the sport of boxing aka the sweet science hitting a not getting hit wins you the fight. Floyd was just too technically sound, athletically gifted and all around smarter than Tito.
    Floyd by lopsided UD.
