We all NO how Floyd fights,! really we ALL had a good idea how the fight would pan out,
Pac was no good enough simple fact, the hype in the fight game has a lot to do with it

That being said, I doubt the fight in 2010 would have been much different. Floyd would have won in anti-climactic fashion. It was destined to be a lackluster affair, because Manny was so fast and dangerous that Floyd would have always fought conservative as possible.

Yeah but that was a perfect punch. Tim Bradley tried to replicate that result and got dominated.

As a boxing fan, it sucks that the fight that whole world watched was largely a stinker. Floyd's style at this point is very conservative and not very fan friendly, but I feel for whatever reason Manny doesn't get enough blame for the boring fight. He was the puncher, he was the offensive whirlwind, and in the end he threw less punches than Floyd and made up shit about his shoulder hurting.

I think a lot of people - including a lot of hardcore boxing fans - felt that Manny was going to go out and either one-punch Floyd like he did to Hatton, or throw and land an abundance of punches he he did against a Brandon Rios or Margarito. Floyd is just on another level than even some of the greats Pac fought and struggled against like Morales and JMM.

I enjoyed the fight from the technical standpoint, because it does take incredible skill to subdue an offensive whirlwind like that. But it was sold as a grudge match, the biggest fight of all time, so a technical fencing match is not what people wanted to see, especially for the money they payed.
