    Ahhh...

How about Wilfredo Vazquez Jr, started training in his early 20s and went pro with no amateur career. Won the Latino super bantamweight belt 2 years into his career and won the Super Bantamweight belt 3 years, 18 fights into his pro career.

Kermit Cintron was another guy who didn't start boxing until 20 and had less than 30 amateur fights, won a welterweight title 3 years in or so.

Pac was another guy with hardly any amateur background who won a world title 3 years in or so. Duran beat Buchanan 4 years in with hardly any amateur bouts. I think Duran said in an interview he was terrible as an amateur.
I did think of vasquez but he didn't really excel. He did well and then totally lost it after the arce fight.

True but he learned quick and he did win a world title.
