What's funny is hearing Canelo grouping himself with Cotto in saying that neither are 160-pounders. What a crock of sh*t. Especially given their recent 30-day pre-fight weights. Canelo is GGG's size right now, if not bigger. Of course I'm rooting for Cotto to win. But if Canelo beats Cotto, it'll be interesting to watch Canelo and his team do the Michael Jackson "moonwalk" when asked about fighting GGG. "Ducking" will be taken to a whole new level.

The thing is whoever wins, if they again choose to avoid Golovkin will be ducking at the same level, whatever that whole new level is.

I agree they should fight GGG at 160, no less. But I wouldn't blame Cotto for relinquishing the MW title which technically is not really a MW title at all, because Cotto has absolutely no business at 160. Canelo, on the other hand, belongs at 160 and will eventually be bigger than that. Shades of Chavez Jr. For Canelo not to fight GGG would be exponentially worse than for Cotto not to fight GGG.

Actually it would be Canelo's first attempt at Khazak dodging MW shenanigans, and Cotto's second, so the exponential factor could only be fairly attributed to Cotto who would be in your words, "exponentially worse" than the Cinnamon Kid.

How has Cotto ducked GGG twice? Serious question. Forget these technicalities. I've always been upfront about saying Cotto has no business in the MW division... none. Cotto is too small for 160 pounds. Canelo isn't. He's bigger.... he's younger. How is Cotto's dodging of GGG equal to Canelo's dodging of GGG? Why does Canelo get to lump himself in with Cotto in saying they're both too small for 160? Sounds like Canelo deserves the bigger portion of the "sh*t pie" here. My opinion.
