I may have paraphrased, but Imam's team clearly didn't think they'd have any defensive issues, so didn't even train for it.
I know a guy that sparred with Imam. He told me he was all fast hands and flash; couldn't fight at all inside. They flew him to NY but sent him home after 3 days but paid him for the week.

Hides the blood sprays. I prefer it to white. You can't beat light blue with a massive Budweiser logo though.

Chilemba coming more and more into the fight. Alvarez not showing good body language in the corner, and I think he needs to really step up his game if he wants to hang on to that 0 on his record.

Considering the decision in Germany tonight I think we're due a hometown decision. Alvarez gets the win over a guy with far less commercial potential. And if this means that Quebec fight nights are furthered then that's fine by me. This is a hotspoet for boxing and a place where big fights can be made -- we're watching a main event funded by Quebec fight fans tonight. They've got few guys of their own so tonight we're watching a Colombian and a Romanian as the hometown fighters. And that's fine by me. Boxing needs everything it can get.

Seems like it should be the 20th round . Honestly lost track, pretty level fight after 11th. Chalemba bit sharper shots, Alvarez flat. Stevenson already signed for winner they say...Kovalev keeps laughing.

The announcer team seemed to only see Chilemba doing work. I really get annoyed when they try to influence how viewers see the fight.

Not a great fight, but I thought the card was a little odd, with that one wide decision for Alvarez which I couldn't see. Nonetheless, Chilemba is a bit of an acquired taste and like Sakio Bika, I can see why some judges wouldn't give him too much.

Anyway, it does suggest that if DeGale intends to take it to the cards, he will need to be dominant to get the nod.

Think I've heard DeGale mentioned to have 'Benn like confidence' by showtime crew three times now ...sloooow down fellas. There is one Benn. He's not here

DeGale started off well, but he's really taken his foot off the pedal, and Bute is coming back into it. Nasty cut, and DeGale needs to put in some good clear rounds.

Round 7 and DG landing the best punches but going backwards. Bute will be winning the hometown rounds. If DG can't start pushing Bute backwards he loses this.

DeGale seems the more dynamic, but Bute is going forward and throws good workmanlike combos. Degale by two maybe, but needs to finish strong to confirm it.
