Did most people on the ground there basically see it as a vote for a free market without having to pay a massive cut to a middle man?
This initial fear based market drop will come back up. Time to work within and go for quality over quantity eh?

The amount of bigoted small minded bullshit from many already on the first day is really disheartening. For those not from the UK or not living in the UK seriously we have had enough of being told what to do from people whose experience of being part of the EU is based on nothing but third hand bullshit and propaganda by manipulative self serving career politicians. It almost seems now that it is fine not only to be finally out as the bigot and racist that many always were, but to also be proud of it as though being isolationist extends to dismissing any opinion but their own, This was a very close vote not a case of the overwhelming majority wanting to leave. Young people have been F888ed over by crusty old deluded people pining after a glorious era that never was. It was shit in the 70's with racists in every school and xenophobia, sexism and general ignorance being the norm, not something to pine over.
Farage, Boris, Gove and IDS do not speak for me, they do not speak for my brothers Belgian girlfriend, my British friends living and working in Europe, they do not speak for young people, the disabled, teachers, doctors, my kids or grandkids or in fact anyone I know so don't lecture us on democracy. The NHS will be replaced by Private insurance, The education system already reeling will go down the pan along with my day job. Here in the westcountry we already had to rely on Europe to remind London we existed with our unique needs, and now will end up as little more then holiday homes for the elite that the small minded Brexiteers in here pretended to be deposing. We are f888ed.
The campaign actually had very little to do with what will actually be achieved by the exit from the EU. The topic that came up time and again was immigration, and the free movement of people. However, if we want the access to the free market of the EU, then free movement of people goes intrinsically with that, and if we want one without the other, the tariffs will be punitative.
The other aspect to the debate was the funding sent to the EU. Not only did we have a rebate and contribute less of our GDP as a percentage than any other country in the EU, the money that came back went to the poorest areas and most important industries. The question is, do we really believe that the wealthy English elite will give a flying f*** if Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland suffer without the support of a greater organization. Frankly, we are in a situation now where the wealthy will consolidate, and the poorest will suffer with rising prices and salaries that come nowhere near to keeping up with that inflation.
People remember where they were when Kennedy was shot.
People remember where they were when the Berlin Wall came down.
On this equally momentous day, when the UK voted to leave the European Union ..... I was lighting dog farts down the pub. 🤔
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
Seriously, what kind of pub allows you to light dog farts? The EU certainly would not allow that kind of activity at a pub....![]()
I live in Somerset now. It was either that or burning a witch.
