Its the dumbing down of the sheeple. Pretty.soon governments can sodomize people and ASK FOR MONEY FOR IT, and the people----The sheeple---Nietzsche's "last man"---- will just whip out their credit cards and beg to be manhandled again and again. Alex Jones was one of the first to identify this masochistic, zombie madness.
Who are the sheeple? The people who voted for Brexit? The people who voted for remain? The people who engaged democratically and voted? Those who did not see a referendum as democratic and abstained? Those of us who take to the streets and protest or those who choose not to protest? Which half of the British population? Who here on Saddo? Who in this thread? Let me take a wild guess and suggest you may mean everyone bar you and Miles, neither of whom live in this country or voted in the referendum. I know at least one of you has whipped out his credit card for Alex Jones so who are the sheeple now?
At least you are getting a taste of what we Americans deal with. It seems the world is an expert on America despite never setting foot here.
Do you need to live in Greece to see that the people are suffering and that the country has no control over its borders or currency? I don't really buy into that point of view. An informed outsider can know a lot more about a country than an uninformed local. I pay attention to countries like America because I understand the impact on the world. Same with China. I pay attention to the UK because I know people living there and I haven't quite closed the door. It's my duty to be informed.
No doubt miles. I've been reading much about brexit I love to see democracy at work but no matter how much I read I will miss more as I can't experience it as a Brit. Also, I was reading in the economist that South Korean businesses punish pregnant women workers. They interviewed several who had been screwed over when they were accused of being pregnant when they were not

Strange story and I wouldn't mind giving it a read.

I just think it's good to have a healthy understanding of what is going on in the world, because even if it is not affecting you now, then it will reach you at one stage and you have to be ready. If they are going to bring war here, then I will have to move to Russia and teach English for instance. I would fight if they let me, but they would have no use for a giant stick insect.

The rise in racist incidents is very alarming. Just because we are leaving does not give people the right to racially abuse people.

No, it doesn't. But is it comparable to Sweden's rape epidemic and no go zones? In those instances, Swedes are physically and racially abused too, but you guys don't mention it very much.

Just because we do not mention it does not mean we do not condemn it.

Political correctness is the reason it cannot be spoken of. Just as in Rotherham gangs of Asians have been abusing hundreds of young girls. Just because we do not mention it does not mean it is not happening. So why not more respect to groups that have been calling this all along? After all it is condemned and clearly wrong.

There are issues with integration, gang violence, and the political correctness that wants to be sympathetic to everyone. One of those aspects has to give for the sake of the children and society.

Europe is getting it wrong, Sweden is feeling it now, and continued excuses will only further destroy the UK.

Its comical and interesting. The doom and gloomers are all of those elite crying about the stock market and the news broadcasters both here and abroad fall right into line. They just dont get it. As their millions have increased with every % point, the local cobbler has not had a raise in 30 years. The grocery clerk, the truck driver etc etc. All the world press and camera whores seem to care about is the coffers of all these elites who have never had a job in their life and have been sucking the hind tit of the UK workers for ever. Nothing changes for the common person. Its the reason they chose to split.

I lived in (at the time) apartheid South Africa. I'm half black and half white. It was not a nice experience for me.

I also lived in the South Side of Chicago and Livernois AV in Detroit for 7 yrs total. I think I know what it's like to live somewhere where people hold you in utter contempt yet total fear at the same time.

It's hateful. And it's horrible to be a victim of that, no matter how "tough" or "clever" you think you are.

True British people aren't like this at all. In fact, true Human Beings aren't like this at all. No matter what colour or religion or how rich they are.

Unfortunately, this brexit vote has certainly brought the worst out of both sides.

Hang tough, it will blow over.

It doesn't seem that bad to me although I'm on the outside. Why should you guys have to listen to a bunch of idiots detached from you. I say jolly good for you guys exiting. You guys have a rich powerful history I e always found fascinating. Knights in armour and castles and Kings were some cool times in history. A lot of us here are enamored with your history. I'm always loved your resolve during world war 2. Even in the rules of war in our revolutionary war you guys won. You took the majority of our major cities and had our army on the run. If we had any other general besides Washington we probably would have submitted. Your Magna Carta was beautiful and had a powerful influence on our constitution. Chin up you guys you have our respect just get rid of corbyn please

If they get rid of Corbyn the country probably has no way back. There will literally be no alternative for a hundred years because of the seat based electoral system. Personally I think that is why the Labour Party is acting crazy right now. They do not want a decent person like Corbyn anywhere near power and if that means destroying the party and ignoring the popular mandate, then they will.

You are a decent person, Walrus so I don't understand how you can be against Corbyn. Left and right is irrelevant when it comes to decency.
