Jews were buying land from Palestinians for years prior to the founding of Israel. The Jews would buy worthless land and turn it into olive gardens. The Palestinians would then bitch and say that lands good now I want it back. This same thing was repeated ad infinitum in the area. Only later would Israel be formed.

Except that I've read that the Arabs owned about 85 percent of the land in Palestine around the time of Israel's creation, as opposed to less than 10 percent ownership by Jews. So again, we can present all these things as factual, but the point remains that a lot of what we read has been written with a slant built into it.
