If they were put up in these luxury pads then what happens about the rent (sorry I really haven't been keeping up on it in the news and I can't make head nor tail of this thread, it's like wading through shit, I'm just enjoying the arguments at the minute.

Would the people who are shifted in there get it rent free forever or would they get it at the same rates they were paying before, would it be at a discounted rate for only a certain period of time?

I mean it is a bit shitty for Joe Bloggs up the road who's house burns down and he is out of his ear through no fault of his own without the offer of a luxury apartment, its also a wee bit shitty for the neighbours who pay full whack on their rent knowing that loads of people are being moved in rent free or with a massive discount.

Again, I'm not saying I disagree just that I don't know how it would work and would like to be enlightened.
