Does Eddie really have a say? Does he really care?

No he doesn't have a say, he said something like 'sky will want it to be £30 but it won't be that much that isn't their price point, it will stay at £20' he did say that he doesn't actually have say in it.

    found the quote, I wasn't

“Mayweather wants the price to be £100.”

But Hearn doesn’t believe the price will be above the normal price for a PPV.

“The price will be within the same realms as it always has. I don’t set the price, but my gut feeling is £19.95.

“If it went to £24.95… I can’t see it, it wouldn’t be my decision. Sky won’t want to go beyond £19.95. That is their price point.”
I thought he said Sky wanted £30

I'd rather pay £50 for Golovkin-Canelo than £5 for this.

I'll certainly be streaming it though or listening to the radio.

No PPV has a single thing to do with "hardcore" fans that's the whole point. Given the choice how many people on here (the "hardcore") would buy the awesome SuperFly card coming up in September over this pantomime shit? A handful at most.

Lets be honest, there's "hardcore" and then there's "hardcore." Just look at the threads/interest in this fight compared to everything else. We can't stop talking about it, more here will watch it than any other fight, and more would buy it over most "hardcore" cards

people are talking about this fight more than others because its easy to talk about

its easy to have an opinion

and the opinion doesn't have to have any technicality about it, doesn't require any effort

if you get a 50/50 fight between two top boxers how much is there to say and what can you say that doesn't require some technical knowledge

this is one of the most skilled boxers of a generation fighting a complete novice (who a number of us may even be able to take a round or two from) for millions and millions of pounds, its easy to laugh

doesn't mean that the people talking about it aren't "hardcore"

and, if interested, I wont be buying it, even if it was on at a reasonable time I wouldn't, the undercard is also currently average

I never said you're not "hardcore" for talking about it, on the contrary, just hardcore fans have nothing to do whether or not something is PPV.

One mans "hardcore" is another mans "casual."

Choco-Srisaket or Floyd-Mc? More "hardcore" fans will watch the "joke" fight than even know the first one is happening let alone watch it. Many of us will watch both.
