Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Ward is on top of the bunch right now i mean to comeback and stop Kov like he did was something i would never expect. I have never been a fan of the guy but his list of beaten opponents is better then anyone one. Crawford might be early call but when i watch him fight i see generational talent it will be interesting to see how 147 goes. Also biased or not i do not rate all division the same 130-147 is fucking stacked make it there i put you on different place then 108 to 115. There huge difference in talent pool when you fighting between 130-175 then 108-118 more people and more money to be had. Choco was pound for pound top 10 i am fine with that but the best in boxing eh that is pushing it.

Gonzalez has said that whilst he is considering retiring he hasn't made a final decision yet but if he does decide to continue he will carry on at the same weight

Chocolatito has beaten some solid fighters though. It's not like he stayed at minimum weight and had no competition. He fought multiple fighters who have been highly regarded even though they are smaller guys.
I'm not saying you have to necessarily have him #1, but you would have to admit that he at least has a good case to be a top p4p fighter because of his skill and resume.

I missed the fights thanks to Irma.
But seeing as to how Chocolatito lost by knockout, and reading as to how some on here never ranked him that high to begin with... it's sad that Gonzalez joins the ranks of those great, talented, accomplished fighters who, upon losing.... all of a sudden were never all that great.
Yeah I can see him look old and worn, as well as being affected by the weight gain. But to read where guys like Ward are better than him... that's just insane. Ward was ridiculously inactive and fought a couple of lollipops before taking on Kovalev. The first decision was questionable... and the TKO was puzzling... as it seems Kovalev wasn't mentally there.
Crawford I can see being rated higher. He's at the top of his game, and his style is totally crowd-friendly. He's beaten some very good fighters. But so had Chocolatito. Just because he wasn't televised as much..... or just because he fights at the totally lower weights..... this is the type of thing that does him no favors with the casual fans.
Hopefully he'll be back.
