My grandaughter was 2 today. Her brothers are 4 and 6 and my step son is 30 next year. God man I am getting old but refuse to do so gracefully. I love embarrassing the kids by still hanging out with the nee'r do wells, crusties, gypos, punks etc Still always right in the mosh pit down the front, but getting harder to lift my Mrs out of the bath nowadays. My old man is more titanium and plastic than flesh and bone and is still telling off all us kids in the same breath as wishing us a happy Hannukah. Think that right there is a blue print on how to be a proper cantankerous old bastard with a big grin on your face.

I'm just curious when you say telling all of you off are you saying he has legitimate complaints or are you saying that he is just imagining stuff and blowing off steam? I would not want to think that someone who has reached his wise old age would be overly critical or verbally abusive to you or your family

Went to park for a run with the children today and did a sprint at the end the length of a football pitch. Little brats beat me. I told them i was holding back as I did not want to embarrass them.

Just teaching them life is better enjoyed at a steady jog than in a frantic sprint is all. They'll get that someday when they are huffing and puffing like humbled geezers .

Haha, that's me too. Don't really understand anyone that drinks anymore. Trouble is, if you are around people that drink and you don't drink yourself, you feel like a bigger oddball than you already are. It's a strange feeling. One reason why I mostly just stay at home. Alcohol is nowhere.
