Povetkin has been saying he is fighting in the UK in Apr. That's a damn good test for Usyk at heavy.
That is to tough a first fight for Usyk at heavyweight. Give him time to get use to the weight.
I don't think Povetkin would take the Usyk fight in his first bout back after AJ, but if he is fighting in the UK, there is the potential he could sign with DAZN and Hearn in a co-promotion type deal. That could lead to Usyk.

You could argue that Usyk is already a top 10 heavy.

As soon as he moves up, he enters the ratings.
True but Bellew to Povetkin is a big jump. I am thinking someone like Dave Allen.

That is a big call considering he will be a small heavyweight against these super heavyweights like AJ, Wilder and Fury. I am not so confident.

Mark it down, save the thread.

Usyk has already beat guys like Mihai Nistor (who owned AJ) in what was basically a pro fight at heavy.

Usyk is a great talent, but seems to rely a little too much oh physicality to beat the top few hws around, for me. These are much bigger men.

I hope you are right but I will be the first to let you know how wrong you have been when he loses.

I'm sure you will, but if he dares to be great and takes the big fights at heavy that's all I can ask of him.
