No point. Some lower quality fighter will grab the belt, but most of the better fighters around that weight will want to fight the HWs

I happen to think the weight classes are good the way they are.

Canelo really "took over" the light heavyweight division the way Roy Jones took over the heavyweight division.

I'm happy this is happening. Been waiting this division for too long. Although I still think the cruiser limit should be dropped down to 190 for the sake of the light heavyweights wanting to move to.

I think a 190-215ish division would have been better but hey, can't complain.

Sounds good to me. Maybe he'll challenge Beterbiev.

If he fights him now, yes. If he let's it "marinate", or waits till Beterbiev gets "Bambi'ed" like Kovalev did, then.... no.

dmitry or artur should have gone after sergey once he got bambi'ed. how many fights have they had at the weight compared to canelo? these guys can fight top fighters in their own divisions yeh?

Looking good is far different from taking over a division. Beating an alphabet champion in Kov or Ruiz and then running away to not take the top champion is not dominating any division but simply cherry picking.

they can only fight one guy at a time. both roy & canelo dropped back down again to take on guys that are considered near the top of their divisions
