Diaz busted up and down! Came out swinging just before the bell. This guy's got MAJOR cojones!!

Diaz has gone to the body... he's gone to the head. He's fought from the outside and up close. He's both boxed and punched. Nothing's working. Major props... but he'll be lucky to see the final bell.
Helluva fight!!

Really has turned into much better fight than expected. Much of that on Diaz for fixing the bayonet. Navarrete looks much better with weight and combo fluid for tonight. That volley punching stuff but Diaz trying to will his way through the fire. Top notch all out battle this one.

It's over.
I wanted Diaz... but Navarrete was just too high a mountain too climb (literally). Congrats to Navarrete.... but DAMN!!
Little "Pitufo" showed the intestinal fortitude of a f*cking warrior!
He lost..... but MASSIVE respect.
Good job on the corner for stopping the fight, even with 20 seconds left. Diaz was going to get badly hurt.
What a F*CKING GOOD fight!!!!

Well..... had three local boys on the card tonight.
Xander Zayas continued his promising career as one of P.R.'s brightest prospects at the moment. Hoping for a future champ there.
Edgardo Berlanga (thankfully) had his 1st round KO streak broken... and the opponent even went the distance. This is actually a good thing. Berlanga should also be a future champ.
Christopher Diaz has too huge a task ahead of him. Navarrete was not only taller with a 5-inch reach advantage. He's powerful and unconventional. Still..... Diaz showed a warrior's heart making it almost to the final bell.
All in all a great night of boxing.![]()

so much heart shown by christopher. emanuel looks really good at this weight
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

Truly amazing what Diaz did, even in a losing effort, given his vast reach disadvantage. I had said it was 5 inches.... when actually their listed reaches have an 8-inch difference. That's huge.
The average reach for a featherweight is listed as just under 67 inches.
Which means Christopher's reach is shorter than average, at 64 inches......... while Emanuel's reach is humongous at 72 inches.
If Navarrete stays at that weight he'll be a nightmare for anybody.
