Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spence Jr. have signed contracts for a super fight on August 21.

WBA champion Pacquiao and WBC and IBF titleholder Spence Jr have been locked in discussions for some time and a Las Vegas bout between the pair has now been officially agreed.

Pacquiao, 42, will now look to add to his already glittering legacy by overcoming Spence – who is undefeated in his previous 27 fights.

The bout would represent his biggest challenge since he came up short against Floyd Mayweather in May 2015.

‘Pac-Man’ (62-7-2, 39 KOs) has also hinted at a lucrative mega fight with Conor McGregor, who has insisted he wants to take on the Filipino in the ring before he retires from combat sports.

Manny Pacquiao set to fight Errol Spence Jr in Las Vegas in August

Manny Pacquiao is set for his first fight in two years when he faces WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr in August.

The 42-year-old has not fought since he beat Keith Thurman for the WBA welterweight title in July 2019.



He announced on Twitter that he will meet 31-year-old Spence Jr in Las Vegas on 21 August in what would be his 72nd professional fight.

Pacquiao, who is a serving senator in the Philippines, has a 62-7-2 record.

He is aiming to win a world title in a fourth decade after first claiming the WBC flyweight belt in 1998. He has won world titles at eight different weights in his 26-year pro career.

Spence Jr, who has a 27-0 record, claimed victory over Danny Garcia in December in his first fight since a serious car crash in 2019 that left him in intensive care.

Confirming the fight on Instagram, Spence Jr wrote: "Done deal! See y'all in Vegas for the biggest fight of the year."

You can't knock the fight or anything, but 2 years inactive is a really long time for someone who already has the mileage that Manny does.

And why he will fight Spence. Bob would never let it happen. Bob stands in the way of more big fights than anyone in boxing history. It made him a wealthy man but the sport has suffered for him.

That'll be an interesting one, Pac man is 40+ now but he seems to keep in good condition and he seems intent to go out on a lose so good for him(I do hope he does end up like holy field)... But the old git is still getting some big wins(well 2 years ago now) but he's still Pac man.. Great to watch, and I hope he wins this but he is Getting old now.

Part of boxing for great fighters to push it until they lose. Manny Pac is getting to the stage where even if he loses this fight it will not tarnish his legacy. It will further enhance it if he wins.
