Interesting, if anything I'd imagine it would be the natives of the Americas who would call for the renaming of team's name repping colonizers, raiders and plunderers . Closest I've come to buccaneer and pirate backlash is one of the old logos of a school we attended. Originally it was a simple > < but a number of years ago at a reunion I was told they altered the image and actually removed the dagger from his mouth . They kept the tricorn hat, the eyepatch, the skull n bones and the name. It's weird like that. Then again, I was also suspended once for wearing a Vandals t shirt because of the M-16 and logo.
