Yes and he throws punches like a little girl...he spaghetti arms his punches they are not straight, crisp, and clean.....if he did that I assure you his defense would be a lot better.

A defensive fighter like Quintana is tough for a head hunter like Williams and when you're tall you tend to only look to hit the head and that plays into the hands of the defensive fighter...Williams needed to get behind the jab and work off of it but we all saw him taking risks and jumping in to try and KO Quintana or land combos before he established the jab.

I wouldnt really call Quintana a defensive fighter. The opening were there. Williams fought a pretty stupid fight. He didnt use his size well at all.

Quintana is a defensive fighter in that he's better at that than he is at KO-ing fighters. He's the definition of SLICK SOUTHPAW.

Williams wastes his punches and his energy

Quintana exploited William's greatest proposed Strenghs, Size power ,Dont be skeered . Quintana really did box his polish off.

Yes he did a good job. Hit him like he is 5'8 and slow. Well done.

JT,if anything,it makes Cotto look awesome. He annihilated Quintana! It also makes Margarito look bad imo. Have some rep on me VD,you called it,I remember the thread.Nice one bro.

A ghastly fight from Williams. Looked awkward and rusty from the opening bell. Everyone wrong that he could do....he did. And didnt utilise any of the advantages that he could have.

A very dissapointing performance, the better fighter won so fair play to Qunitana...

I bet you all that wherever Cintron maybe that he is kicking himself in the ass cause that could have been him in there with Paul tonight on that shitty performance.
I say this because I was ringside and although Quintana moved well and picked his shots the BIGGEST thing that cost Paul the fight was his 'Volume Punching' that was the biggest element that Paul did not bring. His volume punching style it was nowhere to be found. At one point in the fight he showed signs of it but it never developed into what we have seen in the past where he outpunches his opponent. Paul never let his hands go the way hes used to.

The freaky output was missing. He just didnt seem to move out of second gear. Partly that was down to Quintano's movement but also because Williams simply hasnt fought in a long time. Williams needs to do an awful lot of work. Perhaps he really bought into his own "everyone is scared of me" mentality...but that has really been blown away by this lacklustre showing.

He really needs to work on that defence, learn to fight from range somewhat better and learn to punch properly because that technique is awful shaky at the moment....

Mike, you were ringside?! Did you get any pics? Yeh, it showed Williams to be 1 dimensional of sorts because if you take away his 100 pushed punches a round,THAT's what you get. I think making the weight was too hard,he rehydrated to 164?!That's almost 3 divisions higher!!!

Completely agree here miles and well said. Quintana moved well but again if Paul would have thrown his usual punches maybe that would have changed things.
Good post, sending some Rep. your way for this.
