Yes he did a good job. Hit him like he is 5'8 and slow. Well done.

The Paul Williams Myth as boxings feard man is done...over...dead...

Back in line Paul...Your mouth wrote checks you ass could not cash

I thought about you at the end of the fight and I think just maybe Paul did sleep on Quin. I don't know. We have to wait and see if in fact PW did just have an off night? I really don't know what to say about this. I am still like WTF!?

You are absolutely right. Most of the fight was wtf. Quintana shouldnt have been able to do what he did but he did a great job and was obviously prepared well and had a good fight plan.

Does this effect Margarito stock at all? This logic never works but makes for good theatre..

Margarito loses belt to an advanced prospect who in turn loses belt to someone who exposed a 1 dimensional fighter(Julio) who then in turn got his ass literally handed to him in Cotto's 1st fight at 147.

    Clear but cloudy picture

Lederman is losing it. If he continues to decline, he'll be on a par with Big Al Bernstein.

Quintana deserved to win. I am not sure why the referee seemed to be warning Quintana so often. I was afraid he was going to penalize Quintana for allowing Williams to hold him all night long.

After getting blown out by Cotto, Quintana could not afford another loss. I said he would put up a great performance and he did. Credit to Quintana and Violent D

A ghastly fight from Williams. Looked awkward and rusty from the opening bell. Everyone wrong that he could do....he did. And didnt utilise any of the advantages that he could have.

A very dissapointing performance, the better fighter won so fair play to Qunitana...

I bet you all that wherever Cintron maybe that he is kicking himself in the ass cause that could have been him in there with Paul tonight on that shitty performance.
I say this because I was ringside and although Quintana moved well and picked his shots the BIGGEST thing that cost Paul the fight was his 'Volume Punching' that was the biggest element that Paul did not bring. His volume punching style it was nowhere to be found. At one point in the fight he showed signs of it but it never developed into what we have seen in the past where he outpunches his opponent. Paul never let his hands go the way hes used to.

The freaky output was missing. He just didnt seem to move out of second gear. Partly that was down to Quintano's movement but also because Williams simply hasnt fought in a long time. Williams needs to do an awful lot of work. Perhaps he really bought into his own "everyone is scared of me" mentality...but that has really been blown away by this lacklustre showing.

He really needs to work on that defence, learn to fight from range somewhat better and learn to punch properly because that technique is awful shaky at the moment....

Mike, you were ringside?! Did you get any pics? Yeh, it showed Williams to be 1 dimensional of sorts because if you take away his 100 pushed punches a round,THAT's what you get. I think making the weight was too hard,he rehydrated to 164?!That's almost 3 divisions higher!!!
