Hey Donny. You make some fantastic points. I think many people on this forum come and criticise before they have ever stepped in a ring. I've never done it myself and I have no real desire to be punched repeatedly by someone in a boxing ring. But I think the reason I love the sport so much is out of respect for the people that can actually go out and do this (apart from Witter...but he's a prick).

You'll never cut out criticism though. It's not just part of boxing...it's part of sport. People can't have a bad day at the office in sport, they're expected to perform every time they work. I think dealing with bad press must be one of the hardest parts of being a sportsman, especially if the sport is individual rather than team.

In this weeks boxing news, there is an interview with a guy who's name escapes me right now...but he said the hardest part of being a boxer is being criticised for the things you have no control over. He said he wouldn't divulge any more information, but I can only assume this is a dig at promotors, writers and even fans.
