I understand your viewpoint and I agree to some extent. In factbI agree with alarge chunk of that, but what I'm addressing is the blatant denigration of some fighters by biased fans.

Fenster I asked you today and many others in recent days had they boxed. I found that most that seem to understand the business had competed or been involved in similar sports did indeed give most boxers their fair go.
But there are many who still think boxing is a ruthless, testosterone fuelled sport which is won by the strongest man. Thats my true issue. These "fans" disrespect fighters who genuinely make the effort and often pay huge prices before being issued any dividends.


As fopr the business side, can that be blamed on the fighters? Only partially in my opinion. Had the sport not been bastardized by various sanctioning bodies and promoters we would be in more of a position where the best fighters are those who perform well against their peers and not the best at selecting their way to ther top.
