To Kirkland Laing and the Boxer, you say would he be as famous if he was Mexican? I say yes his name would be JCC jr. theres a overhyped kid that has a huge fanbase has fought more fights than Duddy and lesser oppositon. He fights on freaking PPV every fight for Christ's sake, so your telling me that his fans are justified and Duddy's are not? Your the one that brought up his race dont try to turn it around on me because I called you out my brother you brought it up.

Calling Duddy a bum just makes u look like an idiot, Doesn't matter where
he's from he has a huge following because his fights are always exciting,
his win Saturday night wasnt pretty but its the best fight ive seen so far this year by a long shot! Even if Duddy does lose to Pavlik, he'll still
sell out any venue he fights in because hes one of the most exciting fighters around today.

Now that I mention it. Cotto fits this description quite well.

    Ok...

I feel that Duddy's struggle on Saturady was largely due to the size of Smichet as a fighter.

Duddy himself is 5'9'' and a half. In modern boxing this uis quite slight for a Middleweight but Duddy compensates with his broad shoulders and wide frame. In last Saturaday's fight Duddy found himself in an unfamiliar position...fighting an even shorter opponent. Duddy has become accustomed to approaching taller fighter and being the man who stays on the inside....With Smichet actually klusting for trading shots on the inside Duddy was thrown a loop. All he needed was to box like the taller fighter and use an uppercut, but being totally new to the "taller fighter" brand he failed miserably to employ this tactic. However, he did show grit in being just too tough for his game and hungry opponent.

Now I'm not Duddy's biggest fan although I am I4r5ish and follow his fights, but I know that there are few fighters worthy of the "Bum" moinqor, let alone a fighter who pours his heart and soul into his fights and has been triumphant thus far (al beeit I feel he's been gifted in the past.)

Hmmmm... Interesting. Ya know?... That makes a lot of sense. That did look like the problem.

Good call. I wasn't working it out in my head what the problem was. I mean besides the fact he could put his friggin hands up... But seriously, that makes a lot of sense!

Well you can wish in one hand and shit in the other and see which one gets filled first.

That completely narrows your being a true fan of boxing. I am not saying you love a fighter like Duddy or Wlad but you cannot hate the extremes of boxing it's impossible to do. You either dislike the sweet science part of it or you dislike the brawlers.

If you don't accept one or the other and appreciate it then you've just become a fan of very few boxers and a hater of quite a few boxers

Man no need to put your hands up....
I spent a little time in a Duddy training camp before one of his irish fights. It's easy spot little problems when you spend all day watching him for a couple of weeks.

Well that's a great statement... I mean, look, I'm not troleing ESPN Classic for old Whitaker fights but I respect what he did and think he was a fantastic boxer... I appreciate his skills.

Boxing and Brawling is the yin and yang of boxing... I don't think there would be one without the other. They ofset eachother.

I totally agree Pride of Boston...my all-time favorite boxers are an ecclectic group of pure boxers like Willie Pep and pure punchers like a young George Foreman and everyone in between.

If you cannot appreciate a boxer and you cannot appreciate a brawler then you leave yourself very little in boxing to cheer for and lots to bitch about and frankly I am fucking tired of all the bitching

True and the guys who thumb their noses at fighters like Duddy are no better than the shitheads out there who don't know anything about boxing other than "Mike Tyson's Punch Out"
