Met Frank Bruno when I was 10 it was like meeting a giant, really nice bloke

Met Ricky Hatton and Matthew Hatton a bunch of times they both lived on my street when they lived with thier parents, if you want to meet Ricky just do a trawl off the pubs in the Hyde area a few weeks after a fight and he will be there

Met Junior Witter at Hatton Vs Pendelton, I was wearing a "Witter the Shitter" T shirt and bumped in to him on the way to the bar at the MEN and I have to say he was a top bloke, I had a laugh with him and his mates and told him Hatton would kill him! he said then he only wanted the chance to fight him, I didn't think he deserved the chance then, but I do know

Also going to the Evander Holyfield book signing today although I have been told he is only giving out pre signed cards as his hands are knackerd

Sonny 78 - Yeah he wont sign anything and you have to buy a book to join the queue. There was a big turn out for him and the guy said its much more than Hatton and Calzaghe got . I told Evander to enjoy his time in England and shook his hand . Top bloke !

It closed down at the end of '06 beginning of '07. The city is strapped for fund and looking to cut costs. It stayed open as long as it did because Steward was digging into his own wallet to keep it open. The straw that broke the camel's back was looters breaking in to steal copper piping. Apparently, the building is so old it's difficult to secure. The fighters train at other Kronk gyms, but they aren't THE Kronk.

Iv'e been to Gleasons twice when visiting New york & owner Bruce Silverdale made us very wellcome. we spent a couple of hours there each time chatting to boxers & trainers. It's really full of atmosphere. When I was in Vegas for the Hatton fight i went to Johnny Tacos Gym & was gutted to find it closed
