anyway like other people have said its a stay busy versus a big name, if he makes a habit of this then that's one thing but as long as he follows it with a big fight its fine with me.
Majesty is right. Its not about him takin a gimmie because yes he may desrve it and yes floyd has had some gimmes but the point he is tryng to make is if floyd was fighing gomez ther would be non-stop threads critizing him but people "like" cotto so its ok for him to have gimmes. And if you think cotto is that one man that can beat floyd then that means you put him in the same class as floyd. So by that standard they should be treated the same. Cotto should be critizide for this just like floyd was when he fought mitchell.

P.S. IMO cottos first 25 opponents were "gimmes" (or at least they would be if floyd was fighting them)
Floyd is the universally recognised p4p number 1 fighter in the sport, he's at the pinnacle of his career and the absolute top of his game so is neccesarily held to a higher standard than Miguel Cotto.
    Its not rocket science.

Whether you think its unfair or not, the top guy in a sport is always held to a higher standard. There was a time when I criticized Floyd's competition but I don't anymore (although the news about him possibly wanting a Hatton rematch did make me throw up in my mouth a little) and he's at the point in his career where only big fights are worthy of his time. Cotto's not far from there but he's not on that level yet. If he takes two gimmes in a row then that's another story but as long as he goes back to making big fights next time out then I don't see what the problem is.

"Cotto should be critizide for this just like floyd was when he fought mitchell"

Floyd had just fought N'dou, Corley, Bruseles and Gatti. Cotto has fought Quintana, Urkal, Judah, and Mosley. Its not the same thing. And people were as much annoyed with Floyd for just skipping past 140. The saving grace for the Mitchell fight was that it was Floyd's first at 147 so a easier fight at a new weight class isn't as bad as one at the one you've been fighting at.
