Brits love a winner - Totally wrong. People love Ricky Hatton because he is down to earth, respectful and the best boxer England has seen in a long time. Look at the support for Frank Bruno and tell me we love a winner.

England v Australia Ashes when england won. Guys who played 1 test got MBE's, there were tickertape parades and documentaries, week long parties!
Compare that to when Australia win, nothing happens.
Joe Calzaghe is a good example. For all his achievments until recently he wasnt that well supported in the UK. He stops fighting bums, proves himself against some top contenders in Lacy and Kessler, and suddenly his popularity soars. His fights do bigger numbers, he makes more money, gets the big fights he wants, and even gets named sports personality of the year!
Good model for Witter to follow.

Hatton is hardly down to Earth anymore. He is just chasing money now, and wont prove that he is the best fighter England has in a long time by beating his nearest challenger in Witter.
By the way Lennox didnt fight that long ago, and his record is far better than Ricky's.....
