Ricky should fight Witter he deserves his shot and the fans deserve the fight.

before the mayweather fight i wanted to see Ricky fight one of 3 guys...

    Witter
    Cotto
    Maywether

he was close to signing a fight with DLH this time last year when mayweather was messing him about but Mayweather jumped in took the fight with DLH it was due to be announced... so there is alot of stuff going on behind the sences that dont get announced.

when the Mayweather fight was announced i was made up and gave Ricky a great chance of beating mayweather... alas it wasnt to be and ricky was found wanting NO SHAME IN THAT

so now i dont really want Hatton to fight Cotto as i belive Cotto would knock him out as he hits alot harder than Mayweather so that leaves Witter.

lets face facts Ricky aint got that long left and promised his mum he will be jacking in after this year ((before his loss)) so wasting his last fights with the likes of Lazcano if a shame for him and his loyal Fans and it just seems more safe and money drawn than leaving a legacy IMO

bottom line i want to see him in with Witter as i also like Witter and belive he has earnt his shot

as for the no offer from Witter that holds no weight with me at all because Hatton chooses his fights and he along calls the shots...not witter
I agree he's earned his shot just as much as Urango, Collazo, Maussa, etc did.....

But surely if Witter is the desperate one, he should make the offer?

Going by your logic, Amir Kahn should have challenged John Thaxton, Mayweather should have challenged Baldomir, Tszyu should have challenged Hatton etc...
    quote from Mayweather Hatton 24/7....

after i seen Hattons comments about me after his Castillo win i said make the fucking fight.

with yours and hattons legal guys thinking that dosnt happen but the above proves its the norm

i'm sorry mate but this offer crap from hattons legal guy brings to mind the terms straws and clitching
You really believe that's what happened?

You didn't believe Mayweather was going to fight him all along......once Hatton had built up his reputation in America?

I don't believe that 'you saw more action in them 4 rounds then you did in Mayweather's career' inspired him enough to go through a 9 week training camp.

I'm more inclined to believe he saw the $ signs as soon as Hatton ko'd Castillo.

Wish i had your optomisim mate but i dont think this fight will ever happen now and there is no better time than the present IMO so if it aint happening now it will not be happening in the future... one of them will prob get beat withing the next 12 months and we'll be left arguing over Khans lack of challanges

just one question for you mate who would you like to see Ricky fight next Lazcano or Witter i dont need an answer its for your own mind

    Witter. I'd absolutely love it.

IMO if Witter show's up, he could win.

Listen, my whole basis of argument isn't on the fact that the fight shouldn't happen (it absolutely should, no question)

My point is, there is a reason Witter hasn't made an offer yet and there's a reason why Hatton appears disinterested.

    You'll see in 2009....

The fight will be a massive occassion......even bigger than it would be now with the way things are going.

Witter will get Hatton when his popularity is back at it's peak (if all goes according to plan he will beat Lazcano and Paulie...which he should)

Witter will then get his massive payday because he'll most likely still hold the WBC belt after fighting mandatories until next year

Hatton will get his opponent when he is 35 years old which seems to be the pattern he likes to follow.

So is Hatton retiring soon then? Didn't know that.

Also, when did this Witter craze start? I've been on this board for a while but never have I seen more then a passing call for Hatton to fight Witter. Now a couple months after a fairly good showing of himself versus the best fighter in the world, the calls are almost overwhelming.

Witter may have earned his shot but this all just kind of came out of nowhere. At least it did to me.

mate i sead this a few days ago and if the fight was gonna happen why dont they just stick Witter vs Paulie on the undercard of hatton vs payday and then Ricky fights the winner simple to me if the fight was gonna happen also see reply below to hatton retireing.

yeah about 2 days before his loss to mayweather i read an article about Rickys mum saying he made a promise to herehe was retiring the end of this year but he lost that fight so i'm not sure if that promise still holds... but he is at the tale end of his career so Lazcano is a wasted fight to me.

i think we will see lazcano, paulie and if i maywether fight dont happen i think he might just keep his promise and leave on a win ((if he wins of course ))

as for all the Witter Hatton threads mate its because Ricky has a loyal following and Witter calls him out nearly everyday just seems to be the topic of debate recently

It would seem logical but i believe Hatton figures he can make more money fighting Paulie and Junior, because with Paulie he gets to fight at the Garden.

The Witter fight will most likely be at Wembley.
